CN3ETD Forestry cutting trees in the a forest wood with a John Deere harvester near Ae village, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, UK

Forest sustainability is law in the UK. Here at Woodlets, we adhere to strict rules as defined by the Forestry Act whereby every tree we take has to be replanted.

Forestry owners have to be issued with a felling licence, and agree a long-term forest plan to manage existing woodlands, or in some cases, where the work might cause significant effects on the environment, seek the Forestry Commission’s consent before starting any work. The Commission also has powers to investigate suspected illegal felling and issue Restocking Notices that ensure felled areas are replanted.

Over the last 25 years there has been significant forestry growth which proves that the UK forest sustainability plan is working.

If you care about the environment make sure your pellets are made in the UK from sustainable sources.

We are doing our bit and hope you will join in.
